Become part of a team passionate about providing exceptional care and making a difference in patients' lives every day. As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will help oversee the nursing department, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality care for residents in a long-term care facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing in managing staff and daily operations
- Ensure documentation and policies are compliant with regulations
- Conduct daily rounds to supervise employees and identify potential issues
- Assist in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Follow up on resident status changes and ensure appropriate services
- Complete chart audits and recommend improvements
- Ensure proper infection control and maintain open communication with families, residents, and staff
Qualifications
- Active R.N. license required
- Three years' nursing experience and one year in a supervisory role preferred
- Strong organizational, clerical, and staff management skills
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
