About the job
Support a safe and engaging after-school environment as an Extended Day Lead Counselor, facilitating activities and acting as the primary on-site contact for assigned grade levels. This role involves leading indoor, outdoor, and independent study blocks for students, supervising staff, and assisting in conflict resolution as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily after-school activities for grades 1–8
- Serve as point of contact for assigned students and staff
- Manage independent study and recreational periods
- Guide children’s social and educational development
- Maintain professional environment and resolve conflicts per school guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Some college credits or equivalent childcare certification/experience
- Experience working with children or in camp/afterschool settings preferred
Schedule and Compensation
- Part-time: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM–6:00 PM, school days only
- Pay range: $15.00–$18.00 per hour
