Exercise Physiologist

About the job

This full-time role as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN involves evaluating, planning, and providing exercise-based interventions for patients with cardiac and pulmonary needs. You will independently perform and interpret a range of stress tests and assess patients for therapeutic procedures, education, and risk factor modification.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct exercise testing, body composition analysis, and screenings
• Deliver therapeutic interventions in clinical and rehabilitation settings
• Educate patients and families on disease management
• Develop individualized treatment and exercise plans
• Document patient progress and report to medical team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or related field required; master's preferred
• Previous experience in cardiac rehabilitation required
• CEP Certification within 1 year of hire
• BLS/ACLS required within 6 months

Work Environment
