About the job
This Floor Technician position offers the opportunity to maintain the cleanliness and safety of a long-term care facility. You'll work under the direction of housekeeping management to ensure all floors and assigned areas are clean and welcoming for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common spaces
- Strip, wax, and buff floors using proper equipment
- Clean and maintain cleaning equipment
- Assist with cleaning residents’ rooms as directed
- Follow proper cleaning schedules and protocols
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Positive attitude towards elderly and disabled residents
- English language proficiency (spoken, written, read, understood)
- Minimum age 18
- Capable of performing essential job functions
