Laboratory Technician

This part-time Laboratory Technician position involves supporting a culinary program by managing lab and kitchen operations. The technician assists with inventory, purchasing, and ensuring safe, organized lab spaces under the supervision of academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory and purchasing of food, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain safety and compliance in labs and kitchens
• Assist with setup and breakdown for instructional activities
• Keep lab spaces clean, organized, and ready for use
• Support faculty and students as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or coursework in culinary/hospitality preferred
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Organizational and communication skills
• Experience in purchasing or inventory management preferred
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay rate: $22 per hour
• 10-20 hours per week, flexible scheduling
