About the job
Become part of a dedicated team providing medical records support within a long-term care setting. Make a direct impact on patient care by ensuring accurate and timely management of clinical documentation, working closely with nursing and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and close medical records for residents
- Enter resident details into electronic systems for admissions and discharges
- Audit records for completeness and required signatures
- File and retrieve records as needed
- Ensure discharge summaries are completed and signed by physicians
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Proficiency with medical terminology and computers
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and patience working with elderly and disabled residents
- Must be at least 18 years old; able to fulfill essential job and physical requirements
