This position involves welcoming and registering patients, specifically supporting Spanish-speaking individuals, within a healthcare practice. The role prioritizes accurate data entry, processing insurance information, handling payments, and providing a positive experience to all patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and process patients for healthcare appointments
• Provide translation between Spanish and English for those with language barriers
• Enter and update demographic and insurance information
• Post payments, process no-charge visits, and route chargeable visits
• Schedule appointments and supply necessary paperwork
• Perform other clerical and work-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Data entry and computer literacy skills
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with insurance industry and HIPAA compliance
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to prioritize and examine documents for accuracy
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities

Work Environment

• Primarily in an office setting
