About the Role

Atlassian offers flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to work from an office, from home, or a combination of both. This role is fully remote, requiring candidates to be located in US Pacific or Mountain time zones. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually.

Responsibilities
  • Unblock challenges in the software development cycle, from technical design to launch
  • Create solutions used by other teams and products
  • Solve complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards
  • Lead code reviews, documentation, and address high-risk bugs
  • Mentor junior team members and set standards for code reviews
  • Partner across engineering teams on company-wide projects
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on software/technology leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science)
  • Expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala
  • Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and public cloud offerings (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong mentoring and organizational influence skills
  • Consideration of customer impact in technical decisions
Preferred Skills
  • Developer Experience or Productivity background
  • Proficiency in Java or NodeJS
  • Experience with CI/CD and additional programming languages
