Regional MDS Consultant- $15k Sign On Bonus

Take on a vital regional clinical leadership role supporting multiple long-term care facilities. This position focuses on coordination and completion of resident MDS assessments, Medicare documentation, compliance reviews, and case management for high-risk Medicare Part A residents. Extensive travel between assigned facilities ensures optimal quality and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee MDS and Medicare assessment scheduling and accuracy
• Conduct audits for MDS compliance, therapy minutes, and skilled documentation
• Consult with facility teams on Medicare eligibility, coverage, and documentation
• Train facility staff on regulatory changes and best practices
• Provide case management for high-risk Medicare residents
• Compile reports on findings and recommendations for leadership
• Participate in regulatory policy implementation and staff meetings

Qualifications

• Active RN license in region of assignment
• At least two years in long-term care, with one year in MDS/Medicare activities
• Strong computer and MDS software proficiency
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel extensively overnight
