This role focuses on providing clinical and educational support as a Staff Development Nurse in a day shift position at a reputable long-term care facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and instruct new and experienced staff (clinical/non-clinical) in orientation and competency assessments
- Partner with clinical leadership to determine and evaluate staff skills and training needs
- Plan and implement ongoing education for organizational needs
- Serve as a resource for both internal and external customers
- Monitor staff schedules and ensure compliance with staffing regulations and facility budgets
- Attend QA and daily morning meetings
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
- Experience in long-term care or with geriatrics as Staff Development Nurse preferred
- Minimum three years of nursing experience
- Clerical and organizational skills
- Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing department functions
