About the job
Contribute to a supportive care environment as a Behavioral Health Counselor, providing direct care, therapeutic activity facilitation, and crisis intervention for children in treatment. The role includes developing and implementing activities that align with the agency’s care model and reporting behaviors to clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and monitor therapeutic activities for clients in treatment
- Provide continuous observation and interventions for clients in crisis
- Develop and implement activities consistent with therapeutic models
- Ensure accurate reporting of client behaviors and participate in 1:1 monitoring when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; B.A./B.S. in human services preferred
- Four years of mental health experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work within standard procedures
