About the job

Key Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs (temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and more)
- Document patient histories and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures, including EKGs and wound care
- Perform ear lavages, remove sutures or staples, apply dressings, and collect lab specimens
- Draw blood and run various lab tests (CBC, CMP, BMP, etc.)
- Apply splints and participate in cross-training for additional duties
- Support the mission and values of the organization by taking on other tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification required
- Strong computer skills and commitment to confidentiality
- Excellent customer service and prioritization abilities
- Willingness to undergo training (including a four-day session in Texarkana, TX)
