About the job

Support diagnostic radiologic technologists by performing routine and specialized radiologic examinations under supervised practice as part of a hospital radiology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with and perform specific radiologic imaging tasks in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Operate imaging equipment under technologist supervision
  • Maintain accurate records and follow required safety protocols
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in patient interactions
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current enrollment and at least one year of coursework completed in an accredited radiology program
  • Completion of radiographic positioning coursework and minimum competency exams
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
Working Conditions
  • Regular standing, walking, heavy lifting, and exposure to radiation and mechanical parts
  • Must meet and maintain background investigation requirements for working with children
