The Mental Health Specialist supports permanent supportive housing programs, focusing on case management, data management, and cross-agency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee program data collection, maintenance, and reporting
- Assist with ongoing client assessments and compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Conduct outreach, participate in group activities, and collaborate with partner agencies (VA, CalVet)
- Support program audits, file management, and compliance under HIPAA and CalVet mandates
- Engage directly with veterans at various supportive housing sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required
- Experience with hard-to-serve populations (mental illness, substance use)
- Good communication, self-management, and software proficiency (e.g., Word, Excel, Salesforce)
