As a paramedic at GW Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, DC, you will deliver advanced life support services within EMS protocols to patients in emergency and operational medical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and stabilize patients in pre-hospital emergencies
• Administer treatments as per paramedic scope and standing orders
• Maintain safety protocols including scene safety and infection prevention
• Document care in electronic medical records
• Educate and support less experienced EMS team members
• Perform medication calculations and adhere to agency and regulatory policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year as released paramedic preferred
• Active DC RN license or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support and DC DOH CPR for Healthcare Providers
• Ability to pass FBI background check

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, walk, and lift/push over 20 lbs occasionally
• Regular use of computer and medical equipment
