About the job
Be the essential first point of contact for patients and caregivers accessing medical treatment. As a Patient Access Associate, you will handle registration, telecommunication, and scheduling while providing compassionate support and ensuring accurate data entry within a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients, collecting relevant personal and medical information
- Manage insurance, billing, and database updates
- Maintain telecommunication systems, call schedules, and alarms
- Coordinate patient scheduling and procedure appointments
- Relay information between staff and patients
- Ensure compliance with hospital procedures and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- One year of customer service or healthcare registration experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
- Ability to comfortably manage computer tasks and minor physical requirements
