About the job
Be a vital part of a radiology department by performing diagnostic medical sonography to produce and evaluate ultrasound images for patient care. Collaborate with radiologists, assess patient needs, and ensure exemplary service while maintaining technical and interpersonal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment and evaluate resulting images.
- Aid radiologists in identifying normal anatomy and abnormalities.
- Interact with patients of various ages and backgrounds, ensuring quality care and accurate results.
- Maintain up-to-date technical skills and knowledge of anatomy.
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and procedural standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited sonography program.
- At least one year of ultrasound experience (may include education time).
- ARDMS eligibility; BLS certification upon hire.
