Certified Medication Aides are responsible for safely administering medications to residents within a healthcare facility, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with all relevant standards. Working under the supervision of a staff nurse, they monitor for side effects, promote resident rights, and ensure medication accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications as prescribed and document all actions
- Report any side effects, interactions, or changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and timely medication records
- Monitor, store, and secure medications in line with regulations

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of a state- or board-approved CNA II program
- Wyoming CNA II License with Medication Aide certification
- Experience in long-term or skilled nursing care is preferred
