As a Respiratory Therapist in Gillette, Wyoming, you'll deliver direct patient care in both home and office environments using respiratory equipment and durable medical equipment (DME). The role requires technical troubleshooting, equipment management, and patient education to ensure optimal therapy outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support patients using sleep therapy, tracheostomy care, ventilators, cough assist, suction, and other equipment
- Educate patients and families about home respiratory devices
- Complete thorough documentation for patient care and equipment
- Manage equipment inventory and coordinate quality control
- Respond to after-hours requests and troubleshoot devices
- Maintain compliance with infection control, insurance, and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited respiratory school
- Wyoming Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
- 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP optional
