CT Technician

About the job

This position involves performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures and supporting patient care in a hospital setting. The CT Technician will manage medical supplies, maintain sterile environments, and coordinate workflow to optimize patient safety and diagnostic quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain necessary supplies and equipment for CT procedures
• Ensure patient identification and privacy throughout procedures
• Perform and assist in CT scans, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with medical staff
• Follow safety and infection control protocols at all times
• Maintain clean and organized work and scanning rooms
• Participate in inventory management and address equipment needs

Qualifications

• ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certifications
• New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP)
• Valid BLS certification
• Completion of a radiography technical training program and HS diploma/GED

Work Environment

• Hospital or medical imaging setting in Morristown, New Jersey
• May handle emergency or unscheduled procedures

Shift & Structure

• Typically a contract-based position
• Rotating or as-assigned shifts may be required
