About the job
This Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist role is focused on ensuring environmental compliance and supporting the exploration operations at Nevada Gold Mines. You will coordinate permits, manage reclamation activities, and maintain high standards in safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure and manage exploration permits and monitor compliance.
- Track and report reclamation and compliance activities.
- Oversee and maintain internal environmental compliance systems.
- Manage biological and archeological surveys.
- Ensure all field activities conform to company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct safety training and participate in audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering, Science, Ecology, or related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in environmental compliance, preferably in mining or industrial settings.
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies and managing multiple projects.
- Ability to navigate rough terrain and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
