As part of the Health Information Management Department, the Healthcare Information Associate manages patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance for continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Code and abstract facility outpatient medical records following conventions and guidelines
• Assist with ER coding and infusion case coding as needed
• Assign ICD-10CM/PCS or CPT codes based on provider documentation
• Enter abstracted data onto medical records for tracking

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in specialized health information management
• 1–3 years of related experience
• Certifications required: CCS, CPC-H, CO, RHIT, or RHIA
