This role involves performing a broad range of clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care delivery in a busy health center. Medical Assistants support providers in performing exams, administering medications, managing documentation, and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and health screenings
- Administer medications and prepare patients for provider exams
- Perform CLIA-waived laboratory tests and maintain equipment
- Document patient information in electronic medical records
- Support office workflow, including scheduling and communication
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or medical assistant certification/registration
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in outpatient clinical settings preferred
- Bilingual ability desirable
