This role involves working as a Medical Assistant within a community health center to deliver comprehensive and efficient care to patients. The position requires supporting the healthcare team in both clinical and clerical duties, promoting high-quality service, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in patient care team activities and provide customer service using AIDET standards
  • Administer medications as ordered, perform intake vitals, conduct lab tests, and support patient care
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic medical records and assist with patient referrals
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and infection control
  • May serve as an interpreter and assist providers during patient visits
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting school
  • CMA/RMA certification preferred or must be obtained within the first year
  • Minimum one year of recent experience preferred
  • Bilingual abilities desirable
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and EHR systems required
  • Current California driver’s license and CPR certification required
Physical and Work Environment
  • Physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Work in a fast-paced clinical environment with moderate noise
  • Flexible schedule may include evenings, weekends, and travel
Additional Requirements
  • Must pass background check and health screenings
  • Adherence to HIPAA and cultural sensitivity expected
