Play a key role in supporting nutrition services in a healthcare setting by preparing and serving food, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining cleanliness. As a Nutrition Assistant, you'll help ensure high standards for meal service across pediatric to geriatric patient populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in meal production for patients, cafeteria, and catered events by preparing food and following recipes
- Operate point of sale system, handle cash drawer, and ensure proper transactions
- Set up, deliver, and remove patient meal trays while adhering to service guidelines
- Stock supplies and support inventory management
- Perform cleaning, dishwashing, and general kitchen maintenance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill pre-prep and prep responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or current enrollment in high school
- ServSafe certification within 6 months preferred
- Prior food service experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
