Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) deliver direct rehabilitation care under supervision, assist in implementing occupational therapy plans, and support patients in post-acute care. This position adheres to all legal, regulatory, and organizational standards to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer patient therapy following the treatment plan developed by an occupational therapist
- Maintain accurate charts and utilize therapy software
- Participate in community health projects as appropriate
- Collaborate and communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain workplace confidentiality and follow all compliance and safety requirements
Qualifications
- NBCOT certification and graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Active state license required
- Experience in post-acute care preferred
- CPR certification required
- Effective interpersonal and documentation skills
