In this paramedic role, you will provide both basic and advanced life support, delivering emergency medical treatment and transportation as needed. The position includes maintaining necessary certifications, caring for medical equipment, and following established protocols for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic and advanced life support in emergency situations
- Stabilize, treat, and transport patients in coordination with medical direction
- Monitor and document patient condition and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on medical interventions
- Maintain, inspect, and stock emergency medical equipment and ambulances
- Complete detailed patient care and procedural reports
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license
- Paramedic or EMT certification (Kentucky Board or National Registry)
- AHA credentials: Advanced Life Support, BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ITLS, and CPR
- Must work minimum scheduled shifts and be able to communicate effectively
