Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its multidisciplinary endocrinology team in an adult ambulatory care setting. Ideal candidates will provide care for patients with endocrine disorders, focusing on diabetes management, while contributing to patient education and health promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescribe medications and manage patient treatments.
- Conduct health assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
- Counsel patients on health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes; outpatient only.
- Collaborate with physicians and refer to specialists as required.
- Participate in continuing medical education.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved training program.
- Texas licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification by NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC.
- Experience in endocrinology preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
