The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the Allergy Department provides high-quality, patient-centered care through assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning for allergic conditions. The role includes both office-based and telemedicine visits and works closely with supervising medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and assessments
- Perform diagnostic testing (skin tests, food challenges, etc.)
- Manage patient documentation accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with chief of department and broader care team
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various allergic conditions
- Participate in telemedicine care delivery
Qualifications
- Certification: AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
- Licensure: Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Texas State Medical Board (PA)
- 1+ years clinical experience, preferably in allergy/immunology
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Conversational Spanish
- Experience in diagnostic allergy test administration
