This role involves counseling individuals diagnosed with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The therapist manages a client caseload, facilitates therapeutic interventions, and works at various locations across Kentucky in both residential and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling
- Utilize multiple therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Participate in team meetings, program graduations, and community outreach
- Stay informed on current practices and provide crisis counseling as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in mental health, counseling, or related fields
- Valid and unrestricted Kentucky license (e.g., LPCC, LCSW, CADC, LCADC)
- Experience with addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders preferred
- Knowledge of recovery, mental health, and crisis intervention
