About the job
Provide outpatient mental health assessment, treatment, education, and consultation as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) within the Behavioral Health Department. The role includes managing psychiatric care, prescribing medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality mental health services to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric and mental health evaluations
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Provide preventive services, episodic and chronic illness care
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for case management
Qualifications
- Valid State of Wisconsin RN license
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber certification
- National provider identifier and Medicaid/Health Forward program certification
- Master's in Nursing or relevant field preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing
