About the job
As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager at a leading railcar maintenance facility, you will champion an incident-free culture and regulatory compliance in Waterloo, Iowa. You’ll design and implement safety policies, lead best practices, and engage with staff at all levels to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Lead daily safety walks and safety recognition programs
- Develop and present safety trainings and audits
- Investigate incidents and promote hazard identification
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across shifts and promote open communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing EHS
- CSP or CIH preferred
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new technologies
