EHS Manager

About the job

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager at a leading railcar maintenance facility, you will champion an incident-free culture and regulatory compliance in Waterloo, Iowa. You’ll design and implement safety policies, lead best practices, and engage with staff at all levels to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Lead daily safety walks and safety recognition programs
• Develop and present safety trainings and audits
• Investigate incidents and promote hazard identification
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate across shifts and promote open communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing EHS
• CSP or CIH preferred
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new technologies
