Drive environmental compliance and project management for large-scale infrastructure projects as part of a collaborative team at HDR. This position involves managing regulatory programs, overseeing NEPA documentation, and leading teams through complex compliance monitoring, permitting, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permitting and compliance programs for major infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review NEPA documents, oversee fieldwork, and support permitting processes
- Lead multidisciplinary technical teams and delegate project tasks
- Develop and submit compliance and technical reports to clients and agencies
- Interface with stakeholders, including government agencies and construction teams
- Represent the company at professional events and industry organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, or related field; advanced degree or extensive experience preferred
- 7–10+ years environmental experience, including 2 years project management
- Strong knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and related regulations
- Excellent technical writing, organization, and team leadership skills
- Willingness to travel for meetings and site work
