This leadership role oversees the Infectious Diseases Serology and Mycobacteriology Laboratories at a major healthcare institution in Jacksonville, Florida. As part of an esteemed team, you will support all disciplines of Microbiology and contribute to advanced laboratory operations and diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight in infectious disease serology and mycobacteriology labs
- Support clinical pathology across microbiology, serology, molecular virology, chemistry, and hematology
- Facilitate new test development and laboratory automation
- Participate in quality improvement, accreditation, and educational programs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams in patient care and research
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) with board certification in Clinical Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM) certification or eligibility
- Minimum three years of clinical laboratory leadership preferred
- Eligibility for Clinical Laboratory Director licensure in Florida
