As a Patient Access Representative, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate patient information, securing insurance verification, and supporting the intake process for a healthcare facility. This position involves close interaction with patients, data management, and appointment scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and verify insurance and patient information
- Create and maintain electronic health records
- Gather and process consent, privacy, and authorization forms
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as needed
- Provide prompt and professional customer service to address patient inquiries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or six months of specialized training/experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and medical terminology preferred
- Computer proficiency, especially with database tools
Work Environment & Demands
- Regular use of computers, data entry, and front desk interaction
- Sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 10 lbs
- Moderate noise environment
