Play a critical role in supporting student success by providing high-quality physical therapy assessments and interventions within an educational setting. Engage with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans for students with physical or mobility needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored recommendations.
- Assess students’ physical and motor skills, develop interventions, and participate in placement decisions.
- Attend IEP meetings and consult with students, parents, and educators.
- Evaluate therapy outcomes and recommend adjustments for optimal student progress.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with legal and accreditation requirements.
- Stay current with new therapy techniques and industry standards.
Qualifications
- PT degree from CAPTE-accredited program.
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Preferred Skills
- Five years of physical therapy experience preferred.
- Strong communication, legal compliance awareness, and ability to design curriculum-based interventions.
