Social Worker

About the job

This role supports students and families by promoting educational opportunities, providing social services, and acting as a bridge between the school district and the Hispanic community. The social worker fosters student achievement, family engagement, and community collaboration.

Main Duties

• Assist with the enrollment of Hispanic students
• Collaborate with administrators and counselors to maximize opportunities for students and families
• Facilitate parental involvement and provide training for at-risk families
• Translate and interpret documents and school communications
• Conduct home visits and serve as a liaison between families and the school

Qualifications

• Social Worker License required
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

• Light physical work (up to 20 pounds)
• Must be able to communicate, operate office equipment, make decisions, and demonstrate professional growth

Professional Development

• Attend conferences, participate in regional and national organizations, and remain current on research
