About the job
This position supports women, families, and children through social work and counseling within Pregnancy and Adoption Support in Fairfax, Virginia. The Social Worker/Counselor provides options counseling, adoption planning, case management, and community engagement to promote well-being and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake, assessment, and counseling for expectant parents
- Provide adoption support, planning, and case management
- Complete home studies for adoptive families
- Offer post-adoption supervision and client support
- Assist in educational activities and outreach with community partners
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional evening/weekend work
Qualifications
- Master’s in social work or related field; or bachelor's with 3 years of experience
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Effective communication with diverse populations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
- Child welfare experience preferred
