Behavior Technician

About the job

Support behavioral health programs in a school district setting as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Collaborate with educational staff to implement and monitor behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide direct skills instruction to students with diverse behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) protocols in classrooms
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to model and train on behavioral interventions
• Collect and monitor ongoing behavioral data
• Assist with behavior intervention plan implementation and crisis intervention
• Facilitate skills instruction and curriculum adaptation for individual needs
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must obtain or maintain RBT or BCABA certification within six months
• Completion of district-provided crisis intervention training
• Experience with K-12 students and those with behavioral needs preferred
• Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills
