About the job
This position delivers clinical assessment, therapy, and case management in a multidisciplinary healthcare system serving northeast Wyoming. The Counselor will work closely with children, adolescents, and families, primarily through the Kid Clinic, which provides behavioral health and substance use counseling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client assessments, diagnosis, and provide treatment plans
- Offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions
- Monitor treatment progress and maintain documentation
- Participate in crisis intervention and on-call rotation as assigned
- Collaborate with legal, medical, and community partners
- Engage in departmental quality and compliance activities
- Adhere to relevant laws and ethical standards for behavioral health services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in mental health or related discipline required
- Licensed or eligible for mental health licensure in Wyoming
- CPR certification required
- Experience in child welfare or behavioral health preferred
