As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, you’ll support the company’s facilities and labs, including those involving chemical propulsion and pharmaceutical processing, ensuring compliance with a wide range of safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Cal/OSHA, Cal/EPA, DOT, NFPA).
- Administer hazardous waste management and safety programs.
- Implement and maintain training programs and emergency response protocols.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to proactively identify safety risks.
- Develop internal policies for hazardous material handling, environmental permitting, and EHS data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field (e.g., occupational safety, environmental engineering, physical sciences).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in an engineering, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing setting.
- Deep knowledge of California environmental and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
- Experience in high-hazard operations and EHS data management systems.
