About the job
Support cardiology clinic operations by providing patient-centered care to individuals across age groups. The Medical Assistant ensures efficient clinical flow, performs basic clinical procedures, and assists with scheduling and documentation under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and brief medical histories
- Assist physicians and providers during minor procedures and treatments
- Sterilize and set up examination instruments and rooms
- Schedule diagnostic tests and ensure chart completeness prior to appointments
- Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures and care
- Maintain inventory and perform basic administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Certification as Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NCMA, or state-recognized agency) within 90 days of hire
- BLS certification and Office Laboratory Assistant license (within 90 days)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Previous clinic experience preferred; bi-lingual preferred
