Medical Assistant

About the job

As a medical assistant, provide both clinical and administrative support in a healthcare setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure quality care for patients through clinical procedures, data management, and patient support.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record medical history
• Take and record vital signs and perform clinical assessments
• Collect specimens and perform CLIA waived lab tests
• Prepare patients and assist in examinations and medical procedures
• Document medical information and manage electronic health records
• Administer medications and support pre-visit planning
• Assist with patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up tasks
• Maintain clean and organized work environments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from a Medical Assistant Program, National Medical Assistant Certification, or relevant military experience
• Completion of a medical assistant externship
• Current CPR certification required and must be maintained
