In this Medical Assistant position in Austin, Texas, you will play a key role in supporting patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks alongside interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities span patient intake, basic care, and management of electronic records.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately collect and record patient history, vitals, and relevant health information.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist in procedures.
- Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and handle specimen collection.
- Support communication with patients regarding results, scheduling, and care coordination.
- Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control guidelines.
- Serve as a scribe and support orientation of new team members as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant diploma/certification or equivalent military experience.
- Completion of a medical assistant externship.
- Current CPR certification.
