Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammography and radiography exams with attention to safety and protocol
- Obtain and document patient history, explain procedures, and educate patients
- Select proper equipment, position patients, and ensure image quality
- Administer related pharmaceuticals safely
- Follow ALARA principles to minimize exposure
- Collaborate with physicians during procedures and maintain accurate electronic records
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- RT(M) certification or eligibility required
- Active state RT licensure for MA/RI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
