Youth Counselor

About the job

Contribute to youth development in Bellevue by creating engaging and safe environments for children before school. As a Youth Development Professional, your main focus is to foster growth, build relationships, and guide young members through various educational and recreational programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement diverse youth-focused club activities
• Monitor member safety and ensure a positive space
• Build meaningful connections with children and families
• Communicate clearly with parents and peers
• Serve as a role model and motivate youth engagement

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with high school diploma (some college preferred)
• Experience working with youth and in team settings
• Effective oral and written communication
• National background clearance required

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement with Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organizations
• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Mandarin
