Behavioral Health Associates provide support to nursing staff and clients as part of a treatment team, primarily during the night shift. Responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, safety monitoring, participation in team meetings, and training new staff. Certification is not required, but relevant experience and crisis de-escalation certification are expected in Cahokia, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily care and ensure safety
• Record and monitor client vital signs and information
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with nursing staff
• Attend training, in-services, and departmental meetings
• Contribute to an active and service-oriented care environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years' healthcare or related experience required
• BLS and crisis de-escalation certification within 6 months

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, bending, and walking
• Use of personal protective equipment when required
