About the job
As a Medical Assistant at Connecticut Pediatrics @ CHC in Hartford, you will support the primary care team by providing clinical and technical assistance, ensuring efficient patient care, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves both patient-facing and administrative responsibilities within a collaborative medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for visits and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
- Perform and document vital signs, CLIA waived tests, EKGs, and screenings.
- Manage telehealth technology and virtual exam room setup.
- Collaborate on patient care plans and support patient flow.
- Coordinate referrals, paperwork, and specialty care per provider orders.
- Maintain supply inventories and a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Board certification (AAMA, NHA)/registration (AMT) and CPR certification required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience using EHR; bilingual skills preferred.
