The Behavioral Health Associate (School-Based Clinician) provides counseling and psychosocial evaluations for students and their families within a school-based clinic. The position emphasizes direct clinical care, developing treatment plans, and collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Manage a diverse caseload, including running therapy groups per week.
- Consult with primary care providers, psychiatric consultants, and external agencies as needed.
- Assess immediate safety concerns and provide crisis interventions.
- Develop and document individualized care plans in compliance with professional standards.
- Complete required administrative documentation and participate in agency committees.
Qualifications
- State of CT licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or licensed clinical psychologist (associate licensure considered with path to full licensure).
- Two years of outpatient experience preferred.
- Ability to work with children, families, and diverse teams.
- Bilingual skills advantageous.
Work Structure
- Full-time salaried position following a school-based calendar (195 days/year).
- Location: John F. Kennedy Middle School, Enfield, Connecticut.
