About the job

In this role, the developmental psychotherapist collaborates with a care coordinator to provide intensive in-home therapy for families with young children in Stamford, Connecticut. The focus is on strengthening parent-child relationships and connecting families to needed services through comprehensive assessment and care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct strengths-based child and family assessments
• Develop and implement detailed care plans
• Provide psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational interventions
• Consult in early childhood educational settings
• Complete clinical documentation via electronic health records
• Engage in ongoing supervision and training

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mental health (Ph.D., Psy.D., M.S.W., Masters in Counseling, or MFT)
• Licensure (or eligibility) in Connecticut
• Experience with young children and at-risk families
• Understanding of cultural competency and trauma-informed therapy
